Esta Gazelle para os parâmetros holandeses até que é uma bicicleta minimalista. Com pouco equipamento, sem travões, apresenta no entanto um quadro de design moderno assim como o guiador que se vê bastante por estas terras.

This Gazelle for the Dutch standards can be considered a minimalist bicycle. With few equipment, no brakes, it has however a frame with a modern design as well as the handlebar that can be seen often over here.

Mais uma da terra dos moinhos, esta com a Martinitoren ao fundo... É a maior torre de igreja da cidade de Groningen, neste caso a Martinikerk. Tanto a igreja quanto a torre receberam seus nomes em homenagem a Martinho de Tours (316 - 397), santo patrono do arcebispado de Utrecht, ao qual pertence Groningen.

Another one from the land of windmills, this with the Martinitoren in the back... It is the biggest church tower of the city of Groningen, this case the Martinikerk. Both the church and the tower got their names in homage to Martin of Tours (316 - 397), the patron saint of the Archbishopric of Utrecht to which Groningen belongs.

Almost everywhere in The Netherlands we can find these sort of things. If there are bicycles chained to a guard rail of a bridge or passageway, usually above water, its very likely that someone had flip one over, certainly as a practical joke.

Uma casa-barco tem as mesmas comodidades que uma casa normal: sala, cozinha, quarto, casa de banho e muitas vezes um pequeno terraço (no convés), bastante útil para guardar as nossas amigas bicicletas...

The houseboats by lands of tulips are very common... In the 1970's, the houses in boats became a phenomenon in the channels of the Low Countries. A houseboat (not boathouse) has all the comforts of a normal house: living room, kitchen, bedroom, toilet and most of the times a small terrace (on the deck), very useful to store our bicycle friends...
