Esta bicicleta de senhora, que está acoplada a uma de homem sugerindo serem de um casal, tem uma cobertura de corrente que faz referência a um jornal de Amesterdão, o Het Parool (O Lema), um jornal que surgiu inicialmente em Agosto de 1941 como um jornal da resistência à ocupação nazi dos Países Baixos...

Another one from the land of mills... This lady bicycle, that is coupled to a men's bike suggesting the two belong to a couple, has a chain cover that references an Amsterdam-based newspaper, Het Parool (The Motto), a paper that first appeared in August 1941 as a resistance paper during the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands...

Não é todos os dias que se vê uma bicicleta mais para o desportiva pela cidade, apesar de se ver sobretudo ao fim-de-semana muitos ciclistas na estrada com as suas bicicletas de corrida. E esta ainda por cima está equipada com extensores no guiador, um acessório associado sobretudo às BTT.

It is not every day that one sees a sporty bicycle in the city, even though during the weekends many cyclists are seen on the road in their racing bikes. And this one is even equipped with handlebar extensions, an accessory typically associated with mountain bikes.

No meios dos campos, perto de uma área de pinheiros, esta bicicleta BTwin estava parada, à espera do seu dono, que tinh ido verificar algo. Foi um momento curioso porque na estrada alcatroada a perder de vista, estavam somente dois peregrinos e uma biciclet magestosa. Zero Carros.

0463 - Limit by Singelgracht

Dezembro 2012 - Amesterdão, Holanda

Uma bicicleta Limit desdobrável junto ao Singelgracht com as cores nocturnas reflectidas nas aguas do canal. O Singelgracht tornou-se o limite exterior da cidade durante a o século XVII e apesar do nome semelhante não se deve confundir com o Singel, o canal semicircular mais interior da cidade.

A folding Limit bicycle by the Singelgracht with the night colours reflected in the canal waters. The Singelgracht became the outer limit of the city during the 17th century and in spite of the similar name should not be confused with the Singel, the inner-most semicircular canal of the city.

0462 - Criar raizes

0461 - De Nachtwacht 3D

Mais uma da terra dos diques... Na Rembrandtplein, à frente da estátua do famoso pintor, foram colocadas esculturas de bronze a representar o famoso quadro "A Ronda Nocturna" criando assim uma representação 3D da pintura. Estas esculturas estiveram inicialmente expostas na praça entre 2006-09.

Another one from the land of dikes... In the Rembrandtplein, in front of the statue of the famous painter, bronze-cast sculptures were placed to represent the famous painting "The Night Watch" thus creating a 3D representation of the painting. These sculptures were initially exposed in the square between 2006-09.

0460 - Sempre na boa

O vintage está sempre na boa, seja qual for a época histórica que se atravessa. A bicicleta ganha cada vez mais adeptos nas ruas de Lisboa e por gosto ou estatuto, muitos optam por recuperar e adaptar velhas glórias do asfalto convertendo-as em citadinas utilitárias.

Vintage is always cool, whatever historic season you are in. The bicycle is getting ever more supporters in the streets of Lisbon and for taste or status, many choose to recover and adapt old asphalt glories converting them to urban utility bikes.

0459 - Configurable

Janeiro 2013 - Amesterdão, Holanda

Ora aqui está uma bicicleta claramente configurável. Não só os acessórios, caixa e banco de criança, se tiram como os próprios suportes são facilmente removidos e até são de um azul mais escuro, permitindo converter a uma bicicleta simples. Curioso também os pneus maiores que a média.

So here it is a clearly configurable bicycle. Not only the accessories, box and child's seat, can taken out but the frames where they stand are easily removed and are even painted in a darker blue, allowing to convert to a simple bike. Curious too the fat tires.
